W6TRW Swap Meet Suspended For 2020

The W6TRW Amateur Radio Club Swap Meet is Cancelled for 2020

Updated August 27, 2020

The W6TRW Amateur Radio Club has made the difficult decision to cancel our monthly Swap Meet through the remainder of 2020. We are hoping to reopen in January or February 2021.

The W6TRW Swap Meet has been closed down since March due to concerns over COVID-19 and we have been working to get approval to reopen since then.  Unfortunately, it has been made clear to the Club that we will not receive that approval this year.

We will continue to work with the company, the City of Redondo Beach, and LA County officials to get the Swap Meet going as soon as possible next year.

Sellers who have paid for future reservations will be mailed a refund in the coming weeks. At this point, we’ve held your money for too long and we feel it is best to return it to you. When we do reopen, current sellers will be given first priority for spaces.

Although we all want to get back to “normal” and “business as usual,” the safety and well-being of our volunteer staff, our sellers, and our guests is our number one priority. This is an unprecedented time in our history, and we must do our part, regardless of how difficult, to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are as frustrated as you that we have not been able to hold the Swap Meet since February.

The W6TRW Amateur Radio Club has been putting on a monthly swap meet for almost 40 years and some of you have been with us for all that time. We really appreciate the support and encouragement you have given us over the years. We don’t intend to stop now!

Please continue to check this website: https://w6trw.com/ for updates on future events. Announcements will also be made on our social media platforms @w6trwswapmeet on Twitter and W6TRW Swap Meet on Facebook.
